RECOMMENDATION
PRPL staff recommends the City Council award a contract base bid for Coulson Park North/South Improvements to K2 Civil in the amount of $249,179. This includes the base bid of $192,784 and alternate 1 for $56,395.
BACKGROUND (Consistency with Adopted Plans and Policies, if applicable)
The funding for this project is from a DNRC grant. This agenda item is contingent on Council accepting and approving the use of funds. The North/South improvements is a combined project. Steiner Thuesen combined plans for each and made it one project. The project includes a new restroom, 60x40 shelter, updated sidewalks, trails, and parking areas. A new trail will also be install connecting the north and south areas. This accepted funds from flooding in 2018. Attached is the council memo and the contract.

FISCAL EFFECTS
Funding is coming from a DNRC Grant in the amount of $332,949.75. An additional $24,000 is currently being held by PRPL. PRPL will be responsible for ordering a prefabricated restroom and a 60x40 shelter. Installation costs of these items are covered by K2 Civil's bid. There will be approximately $59,770 remaining for bathroom and additional upcoming work.
