RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends a motion to approve acceptance of the $4,564 donation from Partners for Parks.

BACKGROUND (Consistency with Adopted Plans and Policies, if applicable)

Mountview Cemetery hosts the annual Patriot Run, a 5K fun run held within the cemetery to raise funds supporting families who wish to inter their loved ones in the Veteran Section, as well as to provide ongoing maintenance for the veteran areas. The event takes place each year on the Sunday prior to Veterans Day and generates revenue through sponsorships, donations, and participant registrations.

In 2025, Mountview Cemetery held the 3rd Annual Patriot Run, welcoming 120 participants. The event generated $9,054 in revenue and incurred $4,564 in expenses.

Acceptance of the donation will offset the full cost of the event expenses.
