Staff recommends the City Council conduct a public hearing and approve the resolution setting the assessment for the Tourism Business Improvement District.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This action sets the Fiscal Year 2027 assessment for the Billings Tourism Business Improvement District at $4.00 per occupied hotel/motel room night, which is unchanged from the prior year. The assessment applies to eligible lodging properties within the district and is collected by the City as a pass-through to support tourism promotion and related activities consistent with the approved TBID work plan and budget.

BACKGROUND (Consistency with Adopted Plans and Policies, if applicable)
The following annual assessment resolution has been completed by the Finance Department and the assessments are ready to be placed on the tax files.
The Tourism Business Improvement District assessment is paid by eligible lodging properties and used to support tourism promotion and related activities consistent with the approved TBID work plan and budget.
The TBID assessment is $4.00 per occupied hotel/motel room night and applies to hotels in the district with six or more rooms.

FISCAL EFFECTS
