The Parmly Billings Library construction project consists of a 65,000 square foot, two-level library and includes the demolition of the existing library structure.  The site is being prepared for the construction of the new library and will be complete by the start of construction of the new facility. The new Parmly Billings Library bids were opened on June 19, 2012, so a contract award recommendation will be made at the June 25 Council meeting.

The Council may:

• Award the contract for the new Parmly Billings Library ; or
• Do not award the contract and reject all bids. 

Bonds will be sold to finance the project.

Staff recommends that the City Council award a contract for constructing a new Parmly Billings Library, with the price and contractor recommendations being presented at the June 25, 2012, meeting.
