PROBLEM/ISSUE STATEMENT
Within the last few years, SILMDs have been created that include properties from existing SILMDs. The remaining lights in three of these existing SILMDs have been moved to newer SILMDs. Therefore SILMD Nos. 269, 274, and 281 no longer have any lights in them and need to be discontinued. The Resolution to discontinue lists the properties remaining in these existing SILMDs.
ALTERNATIVES ANALYZED
City Council may:
- Approve the resolution to discontinue SILMDs 269, 274 and 281, or;
- Disapprove the resolution to discontinue SILMDs 269, 274 and 281. If the resolutions are not discontinued, they will remain active although they have no properties or street lights in them.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
There is no financial impact to the city for approving this resolution.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the City Council approve the resolution to discontinue SILMDs 269, 274, and 281.
