PROBLEM/ISSUE STATEMENT
A City Council Subcommittee has begun the process of hiring a replacement for the current City Administrator, who retires September 30, 2017. As part of the process, the subcommittee decided to appoint a citizens' ad hoc committee that will help provide information to an executive search firm on the skills, qualities and background needed for the position.
The Mayor and each Council Member have recommended candidates. They are: John Brewer, named by the Mayor; Peggie Gaghen and Jim Ronquillo from Ward 1; Tom Zurbuchen and Jason Lillie from Ward 2; Kevin Nelson and Nadja Brown from Ward 3; Marty Connell and Ed Ulledalen from Ward 4; and Dianne Ruff and Scott Chesarek from Ward 5.
BMCC Sec. 2-224 Ad hoc council advisory committee requires the committee be created through a resolution (attached) that establishes the committee's purpose, scope of responsibilities, composition and duration of service.
