Title: Rose Park Pool PVC Liner Replacement

RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends Council approve the contract with RenoSys Corp. for $149,537.00 to replace the PVC pool liner at the Rose Park Pool.

BACKGROUND (Consistency with Adopted Plans and Policies, if applicable)

The pool liner at Rose Pool was last replaced in 2011 and is nearing the end of its life expectancy.  The average pool liner is expected to last 10 years.  In FY 2022 the approved CIP included $150,000 for the pool liner replacement.  Invitation for sealed bids was advertised and bids were opened on December 7, 2021.  There were two bids submitted, RenoSys Corp. with a bid of $149,537.00 and Natare Corp. with a bid of $165,290.00.  

ALTERNATIVES

City Council may:
  • Approve the contract with RenoSys Corp; or,
  • Not Approve the contract and provide staff with additional guidance.

FISCAL EFFECTS

The FY22 CIP and Parks and Recreation budget included up to $150,000 for this replacement from the Park District Fund.
