PROBLEM/ISSUE STATEMENT
On February 14, 2011, Council passed a Resolution of Intent for the Jackson Street Sidewalks Phase II project and established a Public Hearing date of March 14, 2011. After conducting the Public Hearing, the Council must pass a resolution ordering construction of improvements in order for the project to proceed.
The project was identified in the Safe Routes to School Plan and includes installation of curb/gutter, sidewalk, and drive approaches from Frances to Ryan.

ALTERNATIVES ANALYZED
The Council may:
• Pass this Resolution Ordering Construction Improvements; or
• Do not pass this Resolution Ordering Construction of the Improvements.
• Pass this Resolution Ordering Construction Improvements; or
• Do not pass this Resolution Ordering Construction of the Improvements.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The proposed project is funded through multiple sources, including direct property assessments for a total estimated project cost of $411,980 as follows:

RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that Council pass this Resolution Ordering Construction Improvements identified in Work Order 05-13, Jackson Street Sidewalks Phase II.
