Staff is requesting that the City Council consider authorizing and executing a Contract for Professional Services with Brown and Caldwell to provide construction administration services for W.O. 08-16 SCADA Replacement Program.  The purpose of this project is to construct a communication system that can provide control and monitoring capabilities for pump stations and reservoirs.  Brown and Caldwell was selected for this work based on City staff review of prequalified firms. 

The Council May:

• Approve the Professional Services Contract with Brown and Caldwell; or
• Do not approve the Professional Services Contract with Brown and Caldwell.

Funding for the design and construction of this project has been approved in the CIP projects (FY' 11 Water Funds $900,000.00).  The contract with Brown and Caldwell is the amount of $59,200.

Staff recommends that Council authorize the Mayor to sign a contract for professional services with Brown and Caldwell for W.O. 08-16 SCADA Replacement Program in the amount not to exceed $59,200.00.
