Approve the appointment of Mr. Joe Garcia to the Planning and Zoning Commission representing District 2, to fill a vacancy due to the resignation of Mr. Raul Montano, for the remainder of his term ending December 31, 2015.
Background:
The Planning and Zoning Commission consists of nine members, three members appointed by each County Supervisor and residing in the respective Supervisorial District. Planning and Zoning Commissioners serve staggered four-year terms.
With the resignation of Mr. Raul Montano, whose term expires on December 31, 2015, a vacancy exists from District 2. Supervisor Ann English is recommending the appointment of Mr. Joe Garcia to finish the term which ends on December 31, 2015.

The Planning Division will send Mr. Garcia the By-laws and training materials.
