Approve a request from Valley Union High School for a waiver of building code fees, estimated amount of $1,228, for upgrades to sports fields.
Background:
Superintendent Ron Aguallo of Valley Union High School District #22 is requesting a waiver of building code fees for a proposed sports field upgrade project. The school plans to build new dugouts, restrooms, and storage facilities for the sports fields on the school property, located at 4088 E. Jefferson Road in Elfrida. The estimated value of the proposed improvements is $125,000; staff estimates $1,228 for building code fees.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
If fee waiver is granted the Community Development Department will process the building permit without fees.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
Valley Union High School would be required to pay all applicable building code fees prior to processing of the building permit application.
