Approve the award for Request for Proposals (RFP) No. 14-23-PUR-04 for a Unified Electronic Payment System to Point & Pay, LLC for the period of May 6, 2014 through May 6, 2017 with annual renewals.

Background:

The Request for Proposal No. RFP 14-23-PUR-04 was released on November 21, 2013, published in the San Pedro Valley News on November 27 and December 4, 2013. Posted on the County’s website and notices were e-mailed to sixty four vendors registered in the Public Purchase e-Procurement database. Seven proposals were received by the solicitation closing date and time of December 19, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. The evaluation panel consisted of representatives from the Information Technology and Procurement Departments. The evaluation panel ranked Point & Pay, LLC as the most qualified firm for this project.

Execute contract, attend user training and implement the unified electronic payment system.

There is no cost for the system to the County. Point and Pay, LLC charges a convenience fee to the customer for each transaction.
