Request the Board approve the contract amendment with the Arizona Department of Corrections Agreement # 13003 1 DC Correctional Officer Certification Training.
Background:
The Cochise County Sheriff's Officer utilizes The Correctional Officer Training Accademy to train its Detention Officers. We have had this ageement with the state for over 15 years.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
Upon Board approval the Sheriff's Office will continue to utilize the Correctional Officer Training Acedemy to train and certify our Detention Officers.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
If not approved the Sheriffs Office would have to find alternative ways to train and certify its Detention Officers.
