Approve a letter from the Board of Supervisors to the Rillito Race Foundation allowing the Cochise County Fair Association to enter into a contract with the Rillito Race Foundation for Horse Races on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2015 and not yet determined dates in 2016 and 2017.
Background:
The Rillito Race Foundation in Tucson has agreed to run the Cochise County Fair Association horse races since they do not have the funding to run them in Cochise County. In order to accomplish this the Arizona Department of Racing requires I submit a letter from the Cochise County Board of Supervisors allowing this Association to enter into a contract with the Rillito Race Foundation to run our dates. They will be running our dates on February 7, 8, 14 & 15, 2015 and these dates need to be included in the letter authorizing this partnership.
