Approve revisions to the Cost-Savings Program policy to align with statutory requirements.
Background:
The Board of Supervisors approved the Cost-Savings Program policy on April 21, 2009. Counsel has advised the Merit Board that, according to statute, no award may be larger than $2,500. Current awards policy allows awards of up to $5,000. This change in policy (to reduce the maximum award to $2,500) is necessary to keep the Cost-Savings Program in statutory compliance.

Change the award amounts in the policy.
