Adopt Resolution 11-27 authorizing the submission of applications for FY 2011 State Community Development Block Grant Funds.
Background:
During the scheduled work session on May 26, 2011 the Board of Supervisors provided direction on which activities and projects to pursue with the available FY 2011 State Community Development Block Grant funds from the Arizona Department of Housing. On June 1, 2011 the ADOH formally announced FY11 CDBG funding levels for the SEAGO rotational regional account, whereas $267,443 is available to Cochise County. Grant applications will be submitted for the following projects in the amounts indicated:
1. Emergency Home Repair Program $140,000
2. Fry Fire Station Improvements $51,000
3. Bowie Fire District Extrication Equipment $62,952
4. County Administration $13,491
Adoption of Resolution 11-____ will authorize the submission of applications for the above mentioned projects.

Department's Next Steps (if approved):
Provide the resolution and required documentation for the CDBG applications. Applications are due to SEAGO by July 1, 2011.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
CDBG applications will not be authorized for submission and FY11 CDBG funding to the County will be forfeited.
