Approve Amendment #13 to Cochise County Contract for Professional Services #1306 for additional construction administration services for the Medium Intensity Runway Lighting and Signage Upgrade Project at the Cochise County Airport, increasing the Contract Amount by $6,956.
Background:
To ensure no disruptions occurred in the third phase of the Cochise County Airport MIRL and Signage Upgrade Project, Stantec Consulting has provided additional construction administration services by having the project engineer serve as the job site inspector during construction. The project engineer made seven more site visits (to include final inspection), provided additional design work for taxiway thresholds, and provided additional coordination with the construction contractor. Approval of Amendment #13 to Cochise County Contract for Professional Services will compensate Stantec Consulting for additional services provided to complete the project.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
Stantec will proceed with the final inspection and close out the project.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
Stantec will not be compensated for the additional services provided, which ensured full completion of the project.
