Approve the transfer of funds in the amount of $150,000 from General Fund Contingency Account to Indigent Defense Coordinator (IDC) budget lines.
Background:
IDC is requesting contingency funds in the amount of $150,000 for its projected FY10/11 budget shortfall. This budget shortfall is attributable to expenses incurred in an ongoing capital post-conviction relief case. Please see the attached Memorandum for additional explanation.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
If approved, IDC will be able to pay court-appointed attorneys' fees and case-related costs for the remainder of FY10/11.

If not approved, IDC will be unable to pay court-appointed attorneys' fees and case related costs for the remainder of FY10/11.
