Approve the Arizona Department of Health Services IGA contract # ADHS17-133164 Amendment #1 for the Emergency Preparedness Program, between the Arizona Department of Health Services and Cochise Health & Social Services, in the amount of $103,980 effective July 1, 2016 and ending June 30, 2017.
Background:
This consolidated amendment reflects remaining FY16 budget from Ebola and PHEPP funds ($39,240), plus new one-time funding for Zika preparedness and response ($64,740). This agreement will expire on June 30, 2017.
The remaining FY16 Ebola and PHEPP budget will be billed upon execution of this amendment. The Zika funding will be utilized to enhance environmental surveillance and epidemiological investigations and to educate and prepare for the eventuality of Zika becoming locally transmitted in our County. The funds would also allow us to increase outreach to the public and our healthcare partners.
