Approve Contract between the SouthEastern Arizona Governments Organization (SEAGO) and Cochise County for technical assistance for the completion of the Southern Arizona Children's Haven Project, granted through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) in fiscal year 2016-17 in the amount of $16,831.
Background:
Due to a change in personnel/staffing in the middle of this grant cycle SEAGO is taking over administration duties on the construction project and all reporting requirements to AZ DOH. This includes managing the project, contractor, and federal labor laws through the end of the grant agreement. CDBG grant funds are a pass through from HUD, to AZDOH to SEAGO to the County and SEAGO has extensive knowledge to successfully manage these projects and does this as a service for other entities in the 4 county region. There is no additional cost to the County as admin fees are allowed under the grant and already encumbered until project completion.
