Approve an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between Cochise County and the City of Tombstone regarding management, responsibility, technical support, computer replacement, security and access of the Tombstone Marshal to the Spillman Data System and Arizona Criminal Justice Information System for the period of November 28, 2017 through November 27, 2018, with four additional one year renewal options with an annual revenue of $13,850 and a one-time revenue of $3,250.

Background:

The County has been providing these services to the Tombstone Marshal Office for over decade and the previous IGA expired in 2013.  This IGA will provide the needed agreements for the County to collect fees for services being provided.

Department's Next Steps (if approved):

Purchase required hardware to get the Tombstone Marshal Office computer systems updated and part of an equipment replacement plan.

Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:

Tombstone Marshal Office would lose access to the Spillman system and would be without Information Technology (IT) support.
