Agenda Item Text:
Approve an addendum of an approved Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) with the Arizona Department of Housing Office of Manufactured Housing to enforce installation standards for manufactured housing and factory-built buildings for the City of Tombstone for a five-year term, effective December 20, 2016.
Background:
In 2017, Cochise County entered into an IGA with the Arizona Department of Housing Office of Manufactured Housing to enforce installation standards for manufactured housing and factory-built buildings. The addendum to the IGA allows for Cochise County to conduct inspections for the City of Tombstone. The Office of Manufactured Housing has requested that Cochise County approve this addendum to the IGA to continue inspections and enforce installation standards for manufactured housing and factory-built buildings in the City of Tombstone. Cochise County will the mobile/manufactured home and factory-built building permit fees to reimburse the County for inspection services.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
| Upon approval of the addendum to the IGA, it will be signed and returned to the Office of Manufactured Housing. |
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
If Cochise County does not approve the addendum to the IGA to complete inspections and enforce installation standards for manufactured housing and factory-built buildings for the City of Tombstone, then the state would be responsible for doing so. State inspectors would not be available on a daily basis.
To BOS Staff: Document Disposition/Follow-Up:
| Route addendum for signatures and return to the Director of Development Services for processing with the State Office of Manufactured Housing. |
