Approve a series 10 (beer & wine) Acquisition of Control liquor license application submitted by Mr. Sumit Thathi, for Quick Pic Market, located at 62 N. Oak Drive, Benson, AZ 85602.

Background:

Mr. Sumit Thathi, has applied for an Acquisition of Control (Beer & Wine Store), located at 62 N. Oak Dr., Benson, AZ 85602. The Sheriff’s Office has no recommendation.  Treasurer's Office advised that the property taxes for the parcel in question have been paid in full for the 2017 tax year.  The Planning and Zoning Department has recommended approval of the application. There have been no formal protests to this liquor license.

The Health Department will notify the applicant he/she will be required to obtain the proper permits before operating the business.

Mr. Sumit Thathi has paid the $100.00 processing fee. Supporting documentation regarding this liquor license is attached.

Department's Next Steps (if approved):

Board staff will forward the Board’s decision to the Arizona Department of Liquor License and Control.

Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:

A hearing on this application will be scheduled with the State Liquor Board.
