Adopt Resolution 18-16, canceling the regular elections of November 6, 2018 for Certain School District Governing Boards and appointing those who filed nomination petitions or nomination papers for uncontested district positions pursuant to A.R.S. 15-424(D).
Background:
As per statute ARS15-424D, elections may be cancelled if one person runs for one seat and the candidates will be appointed.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
Department will notify the districts and prepare Certificates of Election.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
Election will appear on the ballot and will be charged to the district.
