Adopt Resolution 19-15 (Docket R-19-02 Subdivision Regulations) to repeal and replace the Cochise County Subdivision Regulations Amendments including: Updating the regulations to conform with current Arizona Revised Statutes; Removing the Minor Expedited Subdivision option, as well as the review of tentative plats by the Planning and Zoning Commission; Minor alterations to the Conservation Subdivision article, and performing clerical revisions to reflect current practices.

Background:

During an October 9, 2017 work session with the Board of Supervisors, Staff provided an overview of the land division process. As a result, staff was directed to make the following changes to the Subdivision Regulations: Update the Regulations to conform with current ARS; Remove the Minor Expedited Subdivision option; Preform clerical revisions to reflect current practices.  Following receipt of that direction, the Planning and Zoning Commission held a public hearing on January 9, 2019. for draft changes to the Cochise County Subdivision Regulations. 
 

Department's Next Steps (if approved):

If approved, the new Subdivision Regulations would take effect. 

Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:

Current Subdivision Regulations will stay in place.
