Adopt Zoning Ordinance 19-06 amending certain Zoning district boundaries from R-36 (Residential; one dwelling per 36,000 square feet) to RU-4 (Rural; one dwelling per four acres), pursuant to the application of Lavon and Rebecca Womack.
Background:
The Applicants Lavon and Rebecca Womack request a rezoning located at 1350 E. Barny Lane in Benson.
On Wednesday, June 12, 2019, the Cochise County Planning and Zoning Commission (Commission) voted unanimously to recommended approval of rezoning Z-19-04 to the Board of Supervisors.
The Rezoning Application requests to change the zoning from R-36 to RU-4 . The rezoning will preserve the open space and permit the use of the Owner-Builder Opt Out Amendment to the Cochise County Building Code.
