Approve Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between the City of Bisbee and the County for plan review and building inspection services.
Background:
Cochise County and the City of Bisbee currently have in place an IGA for Planning and Building Services. After discussions with the Bisbee City Manager, Bisbee no longer needs all the services provided by Cochise County Development Services. The new IGA allows for the City of Bisbee Building Official to provide plan review and building inspections services when requested by the County. The new IGA also enables the County to provide the City with the same services when requested.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
Provide plan review and inspection services to the City of Bisbee when requested, per the IGA.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
The City and County will not be able to provide each other plan review and building inspection services when requested.
