Approve an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between Cochise County and the following municipal corporations: Benson, Bisbee, Douglas, Sierra Vista, and Willcox in support of Cochise County Tourism and Economic Council, effective through June 30, 2020 with automatic renewals for three successive one-year periods.
Background:
This is an update to the current Cochise County Tourism Council (CCTC) IGA. The CCTC is a collaborative tourism marketing effort between the County and local municipalities. The goal of the CCTC is to pool resources in order to strengthen outreach efforts and programs, and to market Cochise County as a premier tourism destination. The updated IGA reflects a number of changes to the agreement to include a new name (Cochise County Tourism and Economic Council), changes to the working group, its mission, and its meeting schedule, and a new funding schedule beginning FY 2020-21. The new IGA will replace the current agreement, due to end on June 30 2020, and will automatically renew for three successive, one-year periods.

Continue with agreed upon tourism related projects.
