Agenda Item Text:
Approve sub-recipient agreement with the Arizona State Department of Homeland Security to accept $9,785 in re-allocated FY18 grant funds for use with the FY19 Countywide Technical Rescue Equipment Grant.
Background:
These FY18 funds are federal homeland security grant funds re-allocated to partially funded FY19 state homeland security projects. The equipment purchased will be used by local fire departments to respond to complex technical rescue incidents. There is no cost match and all expenditures are 100% reimbursable.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
Purchase and distribute equipment.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
Funds will be reallocated to another county and Cochise County will be less likely to receive competitive grant funding in the future.
