Approve Contract #ADHS 18-180472, Amendment #2, Arizona Prescription Drug Overdose Prevention Program, between the Arizona Department of Health Services and Cochise Health & Social Services, in the amount of $470,720, effective July 1, 2020 through June 20, 2021.
Background:
In 2017 Arizona declared an Opioid Epidemic, and over the course of the past 3 years, CDC funding has supported prevention-based strategies and linkages to care. This grant funding will continue to support expanded prevention-based strategies, enhance linkages to care, and support data collection, analysis and reporting for localized trends in opioid use disorders aligned with public health best practices.

Not approving this grant amendment would eliminate the ability to provide prevention-based strategies around opioid use disorders, and linkages to care.
