Adopt Resolution 20-04 granting a Water Services Franchise renewal to Naco Water Company, LLC.
Background:
Naco Water Company, LLC has applied for a franchise renewal in all of Cochise County. The $500.00 franchise fee has been paid and the Acceptance of Franchise has been signed. The Notice of Public Hearing has been published three times as required by statute. To date, there have been no letters or phone calls either for or against granting the franchise.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
Send a copy of the recorded Resolution, Certificate of Clerk, and the minutes to Gail Spain.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
Naco Water Company, LLC would not be able to apply for a permit to work in the county right-of-ways.
