Agenda Item Text:
Adopt Zoning Ordinance 20-13 amending certain Zoning district boundaries from SR-22 (one dwelling per 22,000 square feet) to RU-2 (one dwelling per two acres), pursuant to the application of Mr. and Mrs. Allen.
Background:
The Applicants, Mr. and Mrs. Allen, request a rezoning for a total of 4.3 acres on five parcels located on the northwest corner of Lansing and Treasure Roads in Sunsites. The parcel numbers are identified as 116-19-316 through 320.
On Wednesday, September 9, 2020, the Cochise County Planning and Zoning Commission (Commission) voted 7-0 to recommended approval of rezoning Z-20-09 to the Board of Supervisors.
The Rezoning Application requests to change the zoning from SR-22 to RU-2. The rezoning is to facilitate Special Use SU-20-08 for an existing well drilling business.
