Agenda Item Text:
Approve Intergovernmental Agreement IGA2021-055, Epidemiology and Laboratory Capacity Grant, for Cochise County Enhanced and Sustained Testing of COVID-19, in the amount of $1,000,000, effective July 1, 2020 through February 28, 2022.
Background:
We have been allotted $1,000,000 to expand our testing capabilities for COVID-19 in Cochise County. These funds will cover additional rapid tests and mass testing events throughout the county. There is 0 cost match associated with this grant.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
Coordinate with procurement to get testing contracts in place with local providers.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
If these funds are not approved, the funds will be returned to the State and Federal governments. Less testing will be available in Cochise County
