Agenda Item Text:
Approve Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) ADHS18-177676, Immunization Services Amendment 5, between the Arizona Department of Health Services and Cochise Health & Social Services for an additional $1,000,000.
Background:
CHSS has received funds for its Immunization Program since 1993 to deliver immunization services to County residents. The State through agreements with CDC provides the vaccine to us free of charge. The grant funds pay for management, staffing, outreach, and operating costs of this program.
The purpose of this funding is to increase our capacity to reach community members in hard to reach areas with the COVID-19 Vaccine. Funds can be utilized for staffing, materials/supplies, equipment, and travel related to efforts to successfully vaccinate community members throughout our county.
