Adopt Zoning Ordinance 21-08 to approve Docket R-21-02 - Accessory Living Quarters, an amendment to the Cochise County Zoning Regulations.
Background:
This is a staff-initiated amendment. Changes are recommended to Sections 203 and 1717 to:
- Improve and expedite the review/approval process associated with Accessory Living Quarters (ALQs)
- Limit potential impacts from ALQs by specifying additional development standards related to height and overall size
- Provide organization improvements to this section of the zoning regulations
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
Staff will update the Zoning Regulations and the associated permit for Accessory Living Quarters.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
The Zoning Regulations will not be changed. The current development standards and process will remain the same.
