Approve Amendment 6 to Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) ADHS18-177676 between the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) and Immunization Services at Cochise Health & Social Services, for immunization services in the amount of $1,233,362, to revise the rates and terms of the IGA.
Background:
The Immunizations COVID4 COVID-19 Vaccination Equity Funding will provide Cochise Health & Social Services with the opportunity to prioritize outreach to programs that have existing community engagement capacity to reach the identified communities. We will do this by hiring two Health Educator III’s whose focus will be on equity. We will conduct a COVID-19 vaccine equity focused network analysis of Cochise County partners. The results of this analysis will support COVID-19 vaccination education, outreach, and/or administration. We will engage a nationally known trainer on equity to conduct a community wide training focused on vaccine equity. And lastly, we will engage a professional marketing firm to help us to develop quality educational materials that are culturally relevant.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
§ Send signed approved IGA back to CHSS who will forward to ADHS to be fully executed
§ Receive notification that IGA has been fully executed and ready for approval in ADHS Portal
§ Budget Amendment (BA) prepared by Program Manager/Coordinator
§ Once Purchase Order is released from ADHS, send --> BA, Fully Executed Contract, minutes of BOS meeting where IGA/Contract was approved, P.O. and Fillable Grant Form to County Finance for entry into New World System
§ IGA & BA are processed by County Finance
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
CHSS will not have the opportunity to increase Vaccination Equity across Cochise County.
