Information

Agenda Item Text:

Approve Amendment 2 to Intergovernmental Agreement IGA2021-055, Controlling SARS-CoV-2 Transmission, between the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) and Cochise Health & Social Services, to extend the agreement end date to February 28, 2023, and to rename the agreement to CTR059101.

Background:

This Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) was originally accepted by the Board of Supervisors on 10/27/2020. The original amount of the IGA was for $1,000,000.00 and was scheduled to end 2/28/2022.  This amendment extends the grant period to 2/28/2023 to allow Counties to fully expense the grant funds.

This IGA has funded the work of Chihuahua Community Health Center to provide community testing.

Department's Next Steps (if approved):

Send signed approved IGA back to ADHS

Continue work of community testing

Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:

We would not be able to spend down the remaining amount of the grant.

To BOS Staff: Document Disposition/Follow-Up:

Send signed pdf copy of the IGA to Alicia Thompson and Kim Mitchell.  Send the original via interoffice mail to Kim Mitchell.
