Approve the appointment of Ms. Nancy Welch to the Planning & Zoning Commission, representing District 3, for a term of office from January 1, 2023, through December 31, 2026.
Background:
The Planning & Zoning Commission consists of nine members, three from each District. Each member is nominated by the County Supervisor for that District, each residing within the District. Members of the Planning & Zoning Commission serve staggered four-year terms. Mrs. Nancy Welch has agreed to serve on the Planning & Zoning Commission.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
Send an appointment letter and administer the Oath of Office to Mrs. Welch as stated below in the BOS staff follow-up.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
The Planning and Zoning Commission, District 3, will have a vacancy on the nine-member Board.
