Information
Agenda Item Text:
Approve Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) CTR063847, formerly known as ADHS 18-180472, Arizona Prescription Drug Overdose Prevention Program, between the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) and Cochise Health & Social Services, in the amount of $470,720, effective September 1, 2022 through September 29, 2023.
Background:
The original Overdose Prevention Contract with ADHS was approved November 2017. The renewal of this grant funding will continue to support expanded prevention-based strategies, enhance linkages to care, the peer navigation contract, the overdose fatality review tasks, public health social work resources to county inmates; and support data collection, analysis and reporting for localized trends in opioid use disorders aligned with public health best practices. The deliverables Cochise County provides to ADHS, and the total annual IGA amount remain the same as the previously named contract ADHS18-180472 Amendment 5.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
Your approvals are respectfully requested. Send signed IGA to CCHSS, Suzanne Hagle, Prevention Services Division Director.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
Not approving this grant amendment would eliminate the ability to provide prevention-based strategies around opioid use disorder and linkages to care to residents of Cochise County.
To BOS Staff: Document Disposition/Follow-Up:
