Adopt Resolution 23-04, amending Resolution 22-29, adopted by the Board of Supervisors on November 15, 2022, to clarify that the election for the question of the Cochise County Jail District is a mail ballot election.
Background:
On November 15, 2022, the Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution 22-29, ordering the formation of the Cochise County Jail District, contingent upon approval by the voters of a one-half cent excise tax as a funding source for the Jail District.
This Resolution will amend Resolution 22-29 to clarify that the election will be a mail ballot election. All other provisions of Resolution 22-29 will remain in full force and effect.
