Information

Agenda Item Text:

Approve Amendment 2 to Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) CTR058657, previously IGA2021-074, COVID-19 Response Staffing, between the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) and Cochise Health & Social Services, effective March 1, 2023 through May 31, 2024.

Background:

This intergovernmental agreement was originally accepted by the Board of Supervisors on 1.4.2021. The original amount of the IGA was for $352,000 and was scheduled to end 2/28/2022.  Amendment # 1 extended the grant period to 2/28/2023. Amendment # 2 extends it further to allow counties to fully expense the grant funds.

This IGA continues to fund the work of the contracted School Epidemiologist.

Department's Next Steps (if approved):

Send signed approved IGA back to ADHS for execution

Continue work of the School Epidemiologist

Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:

We would not be able to continue to provide the support services of the School Epidemiologist to the schools
