Approve Contract 23-17-DEV-01 with Stantec Consulting Services and Terracon for Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Brownfields Grant Implementation Assistance, effective April 11, 2023.
Background:
The County received, and BOS accepted, a $500,000 grant from the EPA to perform an environmental assessment of brownfield sites in Cochise County. To perform the assessments and administrative tasks of the grant, the county put out a Request for Proposals (RFP) for public bid and received three proposals. In accordance with RFP 23-17-DEV-01, the COUNTY hereby awards a multiple-year CONTRACT to the CONTRACTOR(s) to fulfill EPA and County requirements.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
Provide the Offer of Acceptance Award Letter to the selected consultants, and move forward with implementing the requirements of the grant.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
The county will be required to administer the tasks of the grant and hire certified consultants to perform the environmental assessments for each nominated property.
