Approve Fiscal Year 2023 Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) Grant from the Arizona Department of Education (ADE), additional (carryover) funding, in the amount of $703.65, which will provide funding for the Jail Educator to attend the Arizona Correctional Educators Conference.
Background:
This is an annual reimbursement grant for the jail education program managed by the Cochise County School Superintendent's Office. The original allocation of $439.78 was approved at the 8/30/22 meeting. We received carryover funding from FY22 in the amount of $703.65, bringing the total of the grant to $1,143.43. The entire amount is being used to pay for the Jail Educator's attendance and travel for the Arizona Correctional Educators Conference.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
Schools will request reimbursement from ADE for the ACE conference.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
Department would use alternate funds to pay for conference.
