Approve Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) CTR066426, Tuberculosis Control, between Arizona Department of Health Services and Cochise Health & Social Services, in the amount of $14,000, effective July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2028.
Background:
Cochise County Health and Social Services has the responsibility to conduct screening, investigation, and treatment for suspected, latent and active cases of Tuberculosis in Cochise County. Arizona Department of Health Services Tuberculosis Control (ADHS TB Control) supports the County's efforts by means of grant funding to enhance TB prevention and control activities including testing and treatment. Salaries may also be paid from these grant funds, and the current allocation model allows for approximately 11% of the TB Program Coordinator’s salary.

Denial of this grant will burden the County general funds with the expense of the mandatory requirement of TB screening, investigation, and treatment.
