Approve Proposal 2401-26060 with Pueblo Mechanical and Controls, LLC, under cooperative contract Mohave 19F-PMAC2-0904, for the replacement of thirteen Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) units at 203 N. Judd Drive in Bisbee, AZ (Cochise County Jail) in the amount of $271,862.46, effective April 23, 2024.

Background:

The HVAC units that are currently being used at the Cochise County Jail frequently fail due to their old age. It is the Facilities Management Department's recommendation to replace the current HVAC units at the Cochise County Jail to prevent further system failure. If approved, funds will come out of contingency.

Department's Next Steps (if approved):

Anne Coppola, Procurement Contracts Administrator, will sign the proposal. Facilities Management will then issue a purchase order to Pueblo Mechanical & Controls, LLC and will begin scheduling the work.

Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:

The current HVAC units will continue to fail, leaving occupants without proper cooling or heat.
