Approve Proclamation declaring June 2024 Family Reunification Month in Cochise County.
Background:
Family Reunification Day honors birth parents who have gone through steps to reunite with their children.
Cochise County and partners will come together to celebrate families who have achieved permanency after overcoming the obstacles that caused their children to be removed from their care and placed in foster care. The majority of the children in out-of-home care have a case plan goal of family reunification. Every year, thousands of Arizona children are reunified with their families.
