Approve the award of Invitation for Bid (IFB) 24-03-DEV-01 to construct the Vertical/Visual Guidance System, Precision Approach Path Indicators (PAPI) at the Cochise County Airport to Pavex Corporation, in the amount of $246,650, effective upon acceptance.
Background:
The Vertical/Visual Guidance System (PAPI) is a system of lights on the side of an airport runway that provides visual descent guidance information during the final approach. The installation of the PAPI will increase safety and also encourage more aircraft to utilize the airport during the evening.
Bids were reviewed and evaluated, a copy of the bid tabulation and recommendation from the County's contracted airport engineer, Armstrong Consultants is attached.
