Approve Proclamation declaring the week of July 21-27, 2024 as Pretrial, Probation and Parole Week in Cochise County.
Background:
The American Probation and Parole Association (APPA) annually designates a week to promote and educate the general public on the advantages of pretrial, probation, parole and community supervision programs within their state and local communities.
The probation department has celebrated "probation week" for several years, and is including juvenile detention officers who are part of the probation department and who provide a safe and secure environment for youth who are temporarily detained while they go through the court process.
