Approve Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) Grant Renewal Amendment GRA-STATE-24-1242-01 between First Things First and Cochise County Health and Social Services for First Things First Child Care Health Consultation, in the amount of $126,169, effective July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025.
Background:
The intent of this government agreement is to fund the Child Care Health Consultation strategy. As part of the Child Care Health Consultation (CCHC) strategy implementation, a health professional known as a Child Care Health Consultant (CCH Consultant) works with early care and education (ECE) administrative and teaching staff at center and homes (participants) to increase their knowledge and compliance with best practice health and safety practices.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
CCH Consultants will continue to provide services for early care and education administrative and teaching staff in the community.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
CCHSS will not have the resources to provide the services identified above.
