Adopt Resolution 24-16 canceling the regular elections of November 5, 2024, for certain School District Governing Boards, and appointing those who filed nomination petitions and nomination papers for uncontested district positions, pursuant to A.R.S. 15-424(D).
Background:
As per statute ARS 15-424(D), elections may be canceled if one person runs for one seat, and the candidate will be appointed.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
Department will notify the districts and prepare Certificates of Election.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
Election will appear on the ballot and will be charged to the district.
